gregorykemp > Shark cage diving! We headed out to sea from a town called Gansbaai. It's got the highest concentration of great whites in the world. The reason? A nearby island with 60,000 yummy seals.

gregorykemp > The crew started mixing the chum on the way out.

gregorykemp > Mocking dead fish or seasick? You decide.

gregorykemp > After they chummed we waited for the first great white to show up.

gregorykemp > After chumming the water for about 15 minutes the first shark arrived. Then the first group of divers got in the water. The captain would throw the fish head out in front of the cage and then reel it back to the boat so the shark would come close.

gregorykemp > I've got a mask with a built in camera. It was the first time I used it and most of my pictures were crap. I'm happy I got this one. We were in the 48 degree water for about 30 minutes and saw 5 different sharks. The biggest was about 11 feet long.
