We took the train from Vienna's West Bahnhof to Budapest. It's a 3 hour direct train ride.

I looks like I'm enjoying the scenery on the train. I am not. It's quite boring and flat between Vienna and Budapest.

In Budapest! We arrived at 6pm the night before the race.

A funny thing happened while we were looking for a place to eat. By chance stumbled into the same restaurant we ate at two years ago. We didn't realize it until we got to our table.

Outside Hotel Benczur. I recommend this hotel. Great location. Great price. It's not spectacular but very practical.

Here we are at Hero's Square in Budapest just before the race. The Attache had this great idea that we should get a picture of us jumping, just to do something different. Our timing was a off. We aren't quite jumping yet. It is different though.

The race was a first class operation. There was tons of live music and banners. It had a real festival feel.

I carried the camera. Here I am at about mile 2.

The course was as good a half-marathon as I've seen. You really get to see the best of Budapest. Here I am going over Chain Bridge.

On Chain Bridge. I was going for my personal best so I put the camera away after this photo.

I finished at 1:29, my best run ever. Here is the Attache racing to finish. She just missed her personal best time by 1 minute.

We didn't have the energy to try another jump photo. We had to hurry to catch a train back to Vienna.
