Here is our hiking party: Me, Attache, Cory, Shannon, Eddie, Meredith, John, Melanie
Here we are at Gosausee in central Austria ready to start the hike.
Gosausee. We started the hike on the left side of the lake.
Shannon and John.
It's a very popular umbrella.
It was a steep climb. Rests were frequent.
It was the end of July, but the temps were cool. It drizzled frequently.
The Attache.
The trail was brutal. In places we had to climb.
In fact, we had to climb in many places.
The Attache at Steiglpass. It was the final pass before we reached our cabin. Our cabin was somewhere in the valley below behind the clouds.
After five hours beneath overcast skies and light rain, standing on the pass, the clouds parted and we could see our cabin. Would you believe it was still an hour away from there?
Our cabin.
The descent down to our cabin was wicked steep, and much harder than the preceding climb.

The eight of us shared a row of bunk beds. I slept between the Attache and Eddie. Sure, Eddie is cute but I still built a wall of dirty laundry between he and I That's Meredith back there.
