Hike in Alps, Dachstein Glacier, July 2009

At the end of July we did a 2-day hike in the middle of Austrian Alps near the Dachstein Glacier. We went from Gosausee to Hofpuerglhuette and back.

  • After five hours beneath overcast skies and light rain, standing on the pass, the clouds parted and we could see our cabin.  Would you believe it was still an hour away from there?

  • The eight of us shared a row of bunk beds.  I slept between the Attache and Eddie. Sure, Eddie is cute but I still built a wall of dirty laundry between he and I  That's Meredith back there.
